Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Eight year old Harry from Harrogate recently visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park near Wakefield. He went with his parents and friend Charlie.
The park has over 40 sculptures sited in 500 acres and the exhibitions often change.
Harry says “it’s amazing as there’s so much open space for running around – and no one minds if you make a noise. “
Harry really loved the outdoors Access Sculpture Trail, which has an exciting collection of sculptures by Eduardo Paolozzi. He and Charlie “played hide and seek in and out of many of the sculptures, then imagined they were being chased by aliens, as many of the sculptures are quite futuristic.”
“By the time we’d finished running about it was great to have a picnic under a tree,” said Harry.
Exhibits change regularly. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is open every day until October from 10 until 6.30.
