Buckingham Palace and the BBC’s Blue Peter programme have announced details of the official emblem chosen for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

The colourful design by Katherine Dewar, 10, from Chester, was picked from nearly 35,000 entries and will now be available for use for all activities associated with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The announcement follows a national competition for children aged between six and 14 which was launched last autumn.

English and Welsh versions of the logo and guidelines for use are available for download from the British Monarchy website.
