Maria Miller backs Out4Marriage campaign

Culture Secretary shows her support for equal civil marriage.

Following on from her appointment as Culture Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities, Maria Miller has recorded a video for the Out4Marriage campaign to support plans to open civil marriage to all couples. .

Mrs Miller joins other high profile people backing the campain including Home Secretary Theresa May, Mayor of London Boris Johnson, Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson and pop star Paloma Faith.

Mrs Miller said that “the importance of marriage and the value that it brings to society” means that the institution “should be for everyone”, adding that bringing about equal marriage will “help make sure that marriage is strengthened in our society and more relevant than ever”.
