Treasure Annual Report 2009
This is the eleventh Annual Report to Parliament on the operation of the Treasure Act 1996.
Details
Like its predecessors, it lists all the treasure finds reported in England, Wales and Northern Ireland from January to December 2009.
This Report contains details of 778 cases reported during 2009. Of these cases, 261 have been, or are in the process of being, acquired by museums across the country. Of these 261, 71 have been donated. 381 were disclaimed and subsequently returned to the finders/landowners, 107 were deemed not to be Treasure and 29 cases are still to be determined.
