What is the Creative Economy Programme?

The Creative Economy Programme is the first step in the DCMS goal to make the UK the world's creative hub.

There are seven issues that are key to success of the creative industries. Separate groups have been set up to push policy forward in these areas:

  1. Education and skills
  2. Competition and intellectual property
  3. Technology
  4. Business support and access to finance
  5. Diversity
  6. Infrastructure
  7. Evidence and analysis

Visit the Creative Economy Programme for the latest information on the Programme's work.

Have an interest in the creative industries? Have your say.
You are invited to review, comment and discuss the progress so far across the Creative Economy Programme website.

There are also a series of “industry breakfasts” and “sector summits” in which you may be able to take part. Details of current and future events are posted on the Creative Economy Programme website.. The website has many open discussions which you are invited to contribute to.
