It is important for creative businesses to take full advantage of regional and local organisations because they often offer help and support on the areas of most concern; access to finance, skills development and exporting to overseas markets.

Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) actively support creative businesses in England from finding investment to developing skills.

Small Business Link
Business Link provides independent and impartial business advice, information and a range of services to help small firms and those trying to start up a new business.

Arts Council England
Arts Council England and its regional offices are responsible for providing funding, advice and information, commissioning research and forging partnerships that benefit the arts sector.

Funding and support for the arts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is the responsibility of:

 

Regional Cultural Consortiums (RCC) Regional Cultural Consortiums (RCC) act as the champions for culture within all the English regions.

One of the key tasks of the Consortium is to prepare a regional cultural strategy, including strategies for the creative industries.

Government Offices (GOs)
DCMS has a representative in each Government Office.  They act as “ambassadors” for DCMS in the regions, and can advise creative businesses on where to find the most appropriate form of advice and guidance, including advice on EU funding.
