There are number of key sports medicine and science initiatives that support our top sportsmen and women, and UK sport as a whole.

UK Sports Institutes (UKSI)

It is made up of four Home Country Sports Institutes in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland along with a central services team, which is part of UK Sport, based in London.

The four Sports Institutes of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland provide world class facilities to elite athletes. They provide state of the art facilities and services for sports science and medicine.

National Sports Medicine Institute (NSMI)
The work of NSMI is funded by DCMS through UK Sport and Sport England.
