With the support of UK Sport, the four Sports Institutes of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland we are helping our top sportsmen and women win medals in major tournaments like the Olympics and the World Athletics Championships.
English Institute of Sport
The English Institute of Sport is a nationwide network of world class support services, designed to foster the talents of our elite athletes. The Institute receives funding from UK Sport Lottery Fund.
Services are offered from nine regional multi-sport hub sites and an evolving network of satellite centres, delivered by a network of regional teams.
The range of services includes sports science and medicine, strength and conditioning coaching and the Performance Lifestyle programme, providing supplementary career and education advice.

The Scottish Institute of Sport
The Scottish Institute of Sport provides individual programmes and services for Scotland's top athletes to help them to achieve the highest levels in international sport. It is funded by the sportscotland Lottery Fund.
The Institute is based in Stirling, providing a focus for high performance coach development and learning. There are also six Area Institutes working to identify and nurture local talent through to Scottish Institute level.
This includes individually tailored programmes, coaching programmes, technical support, sports medicine, sports science, performance analysis and Performance Lifestyle programme

The Sports Institute Northern Ireland
The Sports Institute for Northern Ireland is a partnership between the Sports Council for Northern Ireland and the University of Ulster. It is based at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown campus, near Belfast.
The Institute aims to provide specialist services and key facilities for sports men and women who are competing at the highest levels.
These services include strength and conditioning programmes, sports medicine, physiotherapy, sports science and Performance Lifestyle.

Sports Council for Wales
The Sports Council for Wales is a network of services offered to elite athletes in Wales. It provides competitors in Wales with world class facilities, sports science, sport medicine and lifestyle support.
It has centres of regional development which bring talented young people and skilled coaches together to help them achieve within their chosen sport. It is funded by the Governing Bodies of Sport to develop Welsh squads to compete effectively on the world stage.
The Sports Council for Wales is committed to helping the best sports people in Wales while they develop their potential.
